A layover takes less time and labor since the underlying system does not need to be torn off if it is not saturated. This process also requires less materials than a new roof installation.
When doing a Layover you’re addressing the outer issues that the roof has and replacing only the saturated base layer where needed, helping to minimize major roof replacement costs.
After understanding that a layover is quicker and less labor intensive than a total replacement, it makes sense that it costs less as well. Your roof will be able to withstand the elements and perform more effectively without the price tag of a new commercial roof.
I know we’ve made a roof layover sound like the no brainer choice, BUT this solution is not for every commercial property.
If your commercial roof has significant structural damage, a layover would be a temporary fix leading to more costly roof repairs or replacement in the future.
If your commercial roof has already been treated with a layover in the past, it’s time to tear off and start new. According to Ohio law, a flat roof cannot have more than two roofing systems.
The best way to know whether a layover or replacement is right for your commercial building is to schedule a professional inspection. Don’t stay in the dark.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
